Ramatu Wuni came to the UK to study MSc Public Health. Before coming to the UK, Ramatu was a teaching assistant in the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana: “I was involved in organising and supervising laboratory and field practicals and marking reports. I came to study at BU as I had quick responses to all my enquiries and I was contacted frequently regarding things that needed to be done. This gave me an impression of how serious and hardworking the staff are and the quality of the degree I will get from the University.”

Ramatu finds it very easy living in Bournemouth and has a great passion for the UK and the people. She has made lifelong friends which has helped make her time at BU a very rewarding one.

“The UK is a very nice place. Everything is well organised. Time is highly respected and it is very easy to locate places you have never been to.  BU is a great place to be, I like everything about Bournemouth and the surrounding area. The people are very friendly and approachable and always willing to help."

At BU we pride ourselves on being a very cosmopolitan university. We are in a prime spot for tourism and attract many international students because of this.  We believe a degree at BU will meet your highest expectations. It will also prepare you for your future career, as Ramatu confirms: “I plan to return to my home country after I complete my studies to work as a Director of Public Health. With my MSc Public Health degree from BU, I know I stand a better chance.”

“I can’t fault my course. Lectures are delivered in a very friendly manner and information about the course and learning materials are available on the website. I have already developed some valuable learning and research skills and I am extremely grateful to be on this course.”
